The Town of Belchertown is accepting applications for a full-time Police Patrol Officer position with the Belchertown Police Department. The role includes public safety duties such as crime prevention, investigations, traffic enforcement, emergency response, and community policing. The position follows a four-days-on, two-days-off schedule (40 hours per week) and offers a base hourly rate of $27.70–$35.19, depending on experience.
Applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and an active Massachusetts Class A Firearms License. A full-time MPTC police academy certification is preferred. Candidates must meet Municipal Police Training Committee physical standards and be able to obtain and maintain certification through the Massachusetts POST Commission.
