On Thursday, October 9, 2025, at approximately 7:13 PM, a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle in the area of 200 South East Street in Amherst, Massachusetts. The vehicle continued northbound without stopping, and the pedestrian was transported to Baystate Medical Center.
Investigators believe the vehicle is a 2007–2011 Toyota Camry that is missing the front chrome Toyota emblem and has damage to the front passenger side, hood, and windshield. The incident affects residents, drivers, and pedestrians who use South East Street and nearby areas, and identifying the vehicle may assist the ongoing investigation.
