Amherst Survival Center Offers Food Support Amid SNAP Changes

With possible disruptions to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Amherst Survival Center assures the community it remains open and ready to provide food. Everyone is welcome—no proof of income or citizenship is required.

The Food Pantry serves residents of Amherst, Belchertown, Deerfield, Granby, Hadley, Leverett, Pelham, Shutesbury, South Deerfield, South Hadley, Sunderland, Ware, and Whately, as well as anyone experiencing homelessness. Pantry hours: Monday & Friday 12–3 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday 12–7 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
