The South Hadley Electric Light Department (SHELD) advises that fuel assistance applications for the 2025/2026 heating season are now open. The season runs from November 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026. Community Action is currently unable to distribute regular benefits during the federal government shutdown; distribution will resume once federal funding is authorized. This notice affects SHELD customers who need help with home heating costs.
