A community menorah lighting will take place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Belchertown Recreation Department. Attendees may bring their own menorah to participate in the candle lighting. Dreidel games, Hanukkah treats, and a storytelling session about the holiday will be available for attendees. Extra candles will be provided. This event is open to community members interested in celebrating the first night of Hanukkah together.
Hanukkah is an eight-day Jewish festival marked by lighting the menorah, playing dreidel, and sharing traditional foods. Community gatherings offer an opportunity to learn about the holiday and participate in shared traditions.
