The Amherst Public Art Commission invites artists to submit work for two opportunities:
- Electrify Amherst:
- Paint original designs on utility boxes (3′ x 4′ surfaces)
- Three artists selected – $500 stipend + supplies funded by Amherst Cultural Council
- Deadline: September 22, 2025
- Requirements: High-resolution sketch (.jpg/.png), artist statement, contact info
- Submit proposals to publicart[at]amherstma.gov
- Town Hall Art Gallery:
- Bi-monthly exhibits featuring diverse media (painting, photography, textiles, etc.)
- Rolling applications – no deadline
- Gallery hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (excluding holidays)
