Welcome to Amherst Now, Your Community Noticeboard!
This is a space for residents of Amherst, Belchertown, Hadley, Leverett, Pelham, Shutesbury, South Hadley, Sunderland, and surrounding communities to stay informed and connected. Whether you have a local event, a public announcement, or important community news, this noticeboard is here to help spread the word.
Connection Drives Community
As we built this site, we saw a pattern in every notice: an invitation to show up and connect.
Whether someone posts about a lost item, a local event, a performance, a public meeting, or a community need—they’re reaching out. They’re asking others to notice, to care, to take part.
If no one responds, the notice hasn’t done its job.
At the center of each notice is something simple and human; the need to be seen, heard, and joined by others.
That’s what brought us to our guiding principle of connection. Connect with your neighbors. Connect with your town. Connect with Amherst.
It’s a reminder that community is defined less by geography as it is by the ties we create and the ways we show up for each other; the ways we connect.
Community isn’t just where we live, it’s how we live with each other.
At Amherst Now, we make connection easier.
We help people see what’s happening, find ways to join in, and support the people, events, businesses, and efforts that shape the Amherst area.
To connect is to care. To take part. To build something stronger—together.

It's All Yours
We invite community members, organizations, schools, libraries, and local businesses to submit notices. We post:
- Town announcements and public meetings
- School updates and events
- Library programs and community classes
- Lost & found items
- Local business news and job postings
- Farmer’s markets, fairs, and festivals
- Public safety and roadwork alerts
- Volunteer opportunities
- Free and for-sale items (no commercial ads)
What Sort of Notices Can You Post?
Notices must be relevant to Amherst and surrounding towns. We do not accept political manifestos, religious doctrine, or inflammatory content: no firearms, NSFW material, or anything inappropriate for a general audience.

Who's Behind Amherst Now?
Amherst Now is a project from the team at Artist Dynamix, a local digital marketing agency.
It is part of our AdX Wonder initiative, where we test online ideas that help communities thrive.
This platform grew out of five years of conversations with neighbors, local businesses, artists, and organizers who needed a better way to share what’s happening across our community and a way to connect with other residents.
We hope Amherst Now will be part of the solution for these challenges.
