The Town of Belchertown is seeking a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I to join its public works team in 2025. The position involves operating and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment and pumps, performing lab testing and sample collection, repairing equipment, and maintaining facilities. This role requires working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
Applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts Grade 4 Wastewater Operator license and a driver’s license. The pay range is $25.62–$33.72 per hour (effective July 1, 2025), for 40 hours per week, including weekend rotation and stipend.
