A Science Cafe event featuring Dr. Julie Brigham-Grette of UMass Amherst will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The talk, “What is Permafrost?”, will cover Arctic water, climate change, and the experiences of Indigenous communities. The event is hybrid, taking place in person at the Hadley Public Library and online via Zoom. Free pizza and drinks will be provided to in-person attendees. The event is hosted by Science Stories and National Geographic.
