Hadley Override Vote: Support Fire, Police & School Funding

Article 8 Would Restore $850,000 for Critical Services

Hadley residents are urged to vote YES on the upcoming override to restore public services that are at dangerously low levels. Article 8 ($850,000) would restore $590,000 to schools, add 2 firefighters ($210,000), and add 1 police officer ($50,000). The cost for Article 8 is approximately $24.19 per month for the average assessed home ($475,929). A full YES vote on all three override options (totaling $1.5 million) would cost about $42.83 per month.

Current Staffing at Breaking Point

Hadley is currently down to 1 full-time firefighter per shift, and emergency services are overstretched. A previous failed override forced cuts, including a reduction of 9 town FTEs and 2.6 school FTEs.
