Free Outdoor Screening – 2003 Amherst Ultimate Frisbee Team’s Championship Journey
The three-part documentary miniseries “I Was a Hurricane” will hold its world premiere with a free outdoor screening on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 8:00 PM on the Amherst Town Common. Directed by Lexi Jamieson Marsh, the film follows the Amherst Regional High School Ultimate Frisbee team’s 2003 national championship run, exploring friendship, identity, and community. The event is supported by the Amherst BID and the Town of Amherst. An encore screening and panel discussion will take place on August 9 at the Eric Carle Museum. Rain location: Eric Carle Museum with screenings at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
