Shoppers take a look at clothes outside Botanica, a boutique store in downtown Amherst.
This scene is a familiar one on pleasant spring days (The sun was out today! Spring is on the way!) – people pausing to browse the sidewalk racks outside one of Amherst’s independent clothing shops.
Botanica is located at 191 North Pleasant Street, right in the heart of downtown. The shop offers a curated selection of vintage and contemporary clothing, jewelry, and accessories.
Sidewalk sales are a seasonal tradition here. When the weather turns mild, many downtown stores put out racks and tables to entice foot traffic and create a friendly, open-air market vibe. It’s part of what makes downtown Amherst walkable and welcoming.
