Ancestral Bridges will host its 6th Annual Juneteenth Legacy Celebration, “A Homecoming,” on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The event honors Black and Afro-Indigenous soldiers from Amherst who served in the Massachusetts 54th Regiment and 5th Cavalry during the Civil War. The celebration includes a remembrance at West Cemetery and a Homecoming Celebration featuring a Juneteenth jazz set by Avery Sharpe in tribute to Gil Roberts and Fred Tillis. Special guest Pam Tillis will share her father’s connection to Ancestral Bridges.
