A virtual presentation on the long-term impacts of European colonization on the Abenaki/Wabanaki peoples of the Northeast will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM via Zoom. The event is hosted by the Jones Library.
The session will be led by Anne Jennison and will discuss how colonization affected generations of Abenaki/Wabanaki communities in New Hampshire and the broader Northeast, as well as the ways these communities have acted as agents of their own change. The program is open to community members, researchers, educators, and anyone interested in regional Indigenous history.
