The Hitchcock Center for the Environment is hiring summer camp counselors to work with children during its Summer 2026 camp season in Amherst. Counselors will lead programs focused on climate change, science and engineering, art, nature exploration, and building a sense of belonging for young participants.
The position runs full time, 40 hours per week, from Wednesday, June 17 through Friday, August 14, 2026. Employment includes a required 56-hour paid training period from Wednesday, June 17 through Friday, June 26, 2026. There will be no work on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth. After training, counselors will teach and support summer camp programming throughout the remainder of the season.
