The Sunderland Public Library will host a storytime and drawing demonstration with author and illustrator Scott Magoon on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 3:30 PM. The event will take place at the Sunderland Public Library and is open to families, children, and community members.
Scott Magoon will introduce his picture book There’s No Place Like Gnome’s, a story set in the New England woods that explores themes of community and environmental change. The program includes a live drawing demonstration following the reading. This event is part of the Mass Kids Lit Fest, presented in partnership with the Massachusetts Center for the Book.
This program offers an opportunity for children and families to engage with a published illustrator, learn about storytelling through art, and participate in a guided drawing activity.
