Native Plants in the Early 19th Century Garden Talk at Pelham Library

The Pelham Library and Pelham Historical Society will host a talk, “Native Plants in the Early Nineteenth Century Garden,” on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the library’s Ramsdell Room. Christie Higginbottom, former coordinator of historic horticulture at Old Sturbridge Village, will discuss native plants valued by 19th-century New England gardeners alongside Old World favorites, with recommendations for home gardens and information on historic use and cultivation.
