Extended Opening Hours in Amherst for Special Exhibit Viewing
The Amherst Historical Society museum will extend its open hours next week in celebration of a featured exhibit showcasing an intergenerational collaboration between Amherst Regional High School students and local Amherst area elders.
In addition to regular hours—Thursday and Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM—the museum will also be open on Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The exhibit highlights local history through shared storytelling and creative work developed between students and community elders, focusing on lived experience and community memory in Amherst.

Community members are encouraged to visit during open hours to view the exhibit and learn more about the collaboration. No special registration is required.
