Celebratory 5K Run/Walk Supporting Youth Confidence
Girls on the Run Western Massachusetts will host its spring season celebratory 5K on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The non-competitive event honors the growth, connection, and confidence of program participants. Community members are invited to join as volunteers or run/walk the 5K. Volunteer Opportunities Available
Volunteers are needed for setup/tear down, registration, course marshals, 5K buddies, water stations, cheer stations, and pre-5K activities. All volunteers undergo a background check. The course is accessible for people with disabilities; participants may walk, run, push, or roll at their own pace. Face painting, water stations, and happy hair stations will be available.
