Expect Delays on Lincoln Ave, Flat Hills Road & College Street/South East Street Intersection
The Amherst Department of Public Works continues multiple construction projects. Work occurs Monday-Friday, 6 AM-5 PM, weather dependent.
- Lincoln Ave & Flat Hills Road: Work continues for several weeks. Top coat paving scheduled for June 4-5, 2026. Roads remain open; delays expected.
- Hop Brook Road & Kestrel Lane: Work ongoing for several weeks.
- College Street & South East Street Intersection: Sidewalk removal and replacement continues for 2-3 weeks. Roads open; delays expected.
University Drive & Amity Street Roundabout – Ongoing Through October
The roundabout construction continues through October. The intersection remains open but with lane reductions and alternating traffic. Delays expected. The project is funded by a $2 million MassWorks Infrastructure Program grant.
Traffic Reminders
Follow detail officer directions. Seek alternate routes. On-street parking prohibited during construction; vehicles will be towed. Drive slowly.
