The Amherst Public Shade Tree Committee will host an informal picnic on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 5:30 PM on the Town Common, replacing their usual meeting. Members of other town tree committees will join to discuss tree initiatives. The committee typically plants trees monthly (April–November) but will skip the August 9 planting due to heat.
