The Town of Amherst’s Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will host “Becoming Beloved Community: Civics, Citizenship and Civility” on Thursday, October 16, 2025. A light refreshment period begins at 5:45 PM, with the discussion running from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bangs Community Center Glass Room (70 Boltwood Walk).
The conversation, led by DEI Director Pamela Nolan Young, will explore democratic citizenship and civil discourse in a polarized climate. The event aims to bring together diverse community perspectives.
