South Hadley Electric Light Department (SHELD) is hosting its annual community food drive to benefit Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off in the SHELD lobby at 85 Main Street, South Hadley, from October 16 through November 18, 2025.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors serves more than 150 local families each month, providing 6–8 days of food per household member. The pantry depends on food drives and fundraisers like this one to meet the community’s growing needs.
Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable items, including canned vegetables, beans, soups, rice, pasta, cereal, shelf-stable milk, baby formula, peanut butter, canned protein, cooking oil, and spices. All items should be within their expiration dates.
