The Town of Amherst, in partnership with Joy Squared Architects, will hold a virtual concept presentation on redevelopment options for the former South Amherst School at 1001 South East Street on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Amherst residents, especially neighbors and anyone interested in the building’s future use, are invited to review architectural concepts developed from a previous community visioning session. The meeting will explain how each option responds to zoning requirements, existing building conditions, and local housing needs.
