The Belchertown Police Department is hiring full-time Police Patrol Officers. Applicants must be POST Certified or Full-Time MPTC Academy trained, with a valid MA driver’s license and License to Carry. Benefits include a hiring salary range of $59,342.40–$75,379.20 (overtime rate $67.46/hour in 2026), education incentive up to $11,500 by 2028, a four-and-two schedule with shift differential, 15 paid holidays, 3 personal days, comp time, $1,500 annual clothing allowance, $700 annual fitness incentive, and excellent health/dental/vision benefits. Specialty assignments include Detective Bureau, Drone Unit, K9, CIT, DART, Comfort Dog, SRO, and Court Officer.
