The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is accepting applications for paid summer internships for the 2026 season. Two internship tracks are available: the Administration and Development Internship, which is an eight-week placement exploring museum departments, leadership, and nonprofit development, and the Special Project Trinkett Clark Internship, a twelve-week placement focused on curatorial and project work for the museum’s planned 2027 exhibition, including an Indigenous book exhibition.
The internships take place at The Carle Museum in Amherst, Massachusetts, and are intended for students or early-career individuals interested in museum work, nonprofit organizations, administration, and curation. These internships provide structured, hands-on experience within a working museum environment and support preparation for careers in museums, arts administration, and cultural institutions.
Applications are due in February 2026, and applicants should check the museum’s website for the exact submission deadline and requirements.
