The Drake: Live Performance and Music Venue has received a $250,000 donation from Amherst residents to endow a new Director position. The gift supports the venue’s long-term sustainability after four years of operation. The Director will oversee development, donor relations, and financial strategy, working alongside the existing small staff. The search for the position will begin immediately. The Drake was founded by the Downtown Amherst Foundation to foster economic vitality through arts and culture and has partnerships with Amherst College, UMass Amherst, and Amherst Regional Public Schools.
