The Town of Amherst, in partnership with the Center for Ecotechnology (CET), has launched the Amherst Heat Pump Incentive Program to help homeowners install energy-efficient heat pump systems. The program offers up to $3,500 in financial incentives to eligible residents, along with expert guidance on system selection, installation, and weatherization.
Heat pumps provide cost-effective, eco-friendly heating and cooling, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering energy costs. The program aims to complete 30 installations by 2026 and educate the community on this technology.
