A bystander training session led by the Pioneer Valley Workers Center, ACLU of Massachusetts, and LUCE will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst (121 N Pleasant St). The training teaches proactive responses to ICE sightings and attempted detentions.
Participants will learn skills to support community members and act as effective bystanders. The event is co-sponsored by several local organizations, including the Amherst Human Rights Commission and the League of Women Voters of Amherst.
