A community food drive to support the Amherst Survival Center will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, 9:30–11:30 AM. Donations will stock the center’s pantry, serving eligible residents of Amherst and Granby amid increased need due to federal food assistance cuts.
Most Needed Items:
- Food: Peanut butter, beans, canned pasta, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, shelf-stable milk, canned tuna/chicken
- Personal care: Menstrual pads, toilet paper
- Guidelines: No expired food; avoid glass containers
How to Participate:
- Drop off donations at the Amherst Survival Center (138 Sunderland Rd) on September 20
- Organize a collection site at workplaces, clubs, or neighborhoods
- Donate funds online for food purchases
