Reconstruction begins Friday, August 1, 2025, at the intersections of Main, Amity, North Pleasant, and South Pleasant Streets in downtown Amherst. Work will take place on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is expected to continue for 6 to 8 weeks. No parking will be allowed in construction zones.
Traffic delays are expected, especially during the UMass Amherst move-in period beginning August 25.
