The Amherst Historical Society will host a History Bites Lunchtime Lecture, “Protesting with Rosa Parks,” on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Bangs Community Center (70 Boltwood Walk, Amherst). Author John Bollard will discuss his book on the history of resistance to racial segregation in public transportation.
The talk explores the broader context of transportation protests that preceded and followed Rosa Parks’ historic act of civil disobedience.
