The South Hadley Police Department will host the 22nd National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM at 41 Bridge Street. The event will be held in drive-thru style at the back of the station, where volunteers will assist residents in safely disposing of unwanted medications.
Accepted items include prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins, and veterinary medications. Medicines can remain in their original containers. Liquids, syringes, IV equipment, and chemotherapy drugs will not be accepted.
Sharps must be disposed of separately in designated sharps containers available at the station. Loose syringes should not be placed in the collection box for safety reasons.
If you cannot attend, a medication disposal box is available 24/7 in the station lobby. Place medications in their original container or a sealed ziplock bag. Personal information on labels may be removed or obscured before disposal.
