The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will hold a design public hearing on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Community Room of the South Hadley Public Library, 2 Canal Street. The hearing will present proposed improvements for Main Street in downtown South Hadley, including on-street bicycle lanes from Canal Street to Carew Street, a shared-use path from Carew Street to the Chicopee line, sidewalk and curb ramp reconstruction, and traffic signal improvements at Main Street and Bridge Street (Route 116). Public comments will be accepted.
