Town Hall Ceremony – Unveiling Signs & Recognizing Purple Heart Recipients
The Town of Amherst has officially become a designated Purple Heart Community. A ceremony will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in front of Town Hall, 4 Boltwood Avenue, Amherst. The event will include remarks from town officials, a proclamation reading, the unveiling of new signs, and recognition of Purple Heart Recipients. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
