A retirement party for Assistant Fire Chief Jeffery Olmstead will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the North Fire Station (603 E Pleasant St, Amherst). Olmstead is retiring after more than 30 years of service with the Amherst Fire Department.
The community is invited to attend the open house-style event to wish him well. Parking is available in marked spots beside the building or on the north side gravel/grass area.
The event is open to the public. No registration is required.
