Help place more than 2,500 flags on veteran graves at Notre Dame and Mater Dolorosa Cemeteries in South Hadley on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
The South Hadley American Legion Post 260, Sons of the American Legion, VFW Post 3104, and Yankee Division Veterans Association – YDVA Holyoke will lead this community effort to honor veterans ahead of Memorial Day.
Organizers will begin with a brief ceremony at 9:45 AM at the flagpole at Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman Street. After the ceremony, they will give instructions and distribute flags to all participants.
Everyone is welcome to join. Organizers encourage families to bring children and invite all participants to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring water. The event will take place rain or shine.
