A groundbreaking ceremony for the Jones Library Renovation & Expansion Project will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 10:00 AM.
The event marks the official start of a long-planned renovation effort that will:
- Restore the original 1928 building
- Remove the 1993 rear addition
- Construct a new three-story rear addition
- Improve children’s and special collections spaces
- Add dedicated areas for ESL, teens, and cultural collections
- Transition the building to net-zero energy use
- Improve safety and accessibility throughout
