Author Sven-Erik Rose will discuss his new book, Making and Unmaking Literature in the Warsaw, Lodz, and Vilna Ghettos, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The program includes a conversation with Hannah Pollin-Galay of UMass Amherst and David Mazower of the Yiddish Book Center. The book examines how authors in ghettos during the Holocaust used literary forms to assert their humanity. The event will be held in person at the Yiddish Book Center with a livestream option. It is co-sponsored by the UMass Institute for Holocaust, Genocide, and Memory Studies.
Registration is required for both in-person and virtual attendance. To register, visit the Yiddish Book Center’s events page.
