The Amherst Survival Center will host a community screening of Bend It Like Beckham on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM at 138 Sunderland Road. All are welcome to enjoy lunch and a showing of this popular British sports comedy. The film tells the story of Jess Bhamra, a young woman torn between her passion for soccer and her family’s traditional expectations, as she secretly joins a local women’s football team.
