Faith Deering on Broom Making History & Craft – Hosted by Swampfield Historical Society
Faith Deering of Florence, MA, presents a talk on broom corn and broom making on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sunderland Public Library, 20 School Street, Sunderland. Deering grows broom corn and makes brooms, drawing on her experience at Historic Deerfield. She will share broom history, display her collection of brooms from around the world, and discuss the rich broom-making tradition in the Connecticut River Valley.
