The Mead Art Museum will hold its biennial New Acquisition Vote on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at the Mead Art Museum in Amherst. Five College students in the Collecting 101 course will present shortlisted artworks for possible acquisition into the museum’s permanent collection. Attendees will vote on the presented works, and the results will inform the museum’s final acquisition decision. Featured artists this year are Y.Z. Kami, Ellen Lesperance, Wardell Milan, Yasua Klos, and Alex Jackson. The event is open to the Mead community and members of the public who wish to participate in the selection process.
