Celebrating its 44th anniversary, Jazz in July—founded by legends Max Roach, Billy Taylor, and Fred Tillis—returns to UMass Amherst from July 14–25, 2025. The two-week program connects emerging musicians with top jazz artists through masterclasses, jam sessions, and free public performances, including:
- Club Jazz in July: Campus Center, Wednesdays at 7 PM
- Jazz Futures: Bezanson Recital Hall, Fridays 9 AM–3 PM
- All-Stars Concert: Amherst Town Common, July 25 at 5 PM
