Love Data Week Event at Du Bois Library

UMass Amherst Libraries will host a public lecture titled “The W. E. B. Du Bois Data Visualizations” on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Du Bois Library, Floor 22, Room 2220, Du Bois Center. The event is part of Love Data Week, an international celebration of data held annually during the week of Valentine’s Day.

The lecture will be presented by Adam Holmes and will examine the historic data visualizations created by W. E. B. Du Bois, focusing on their design, historical context, and influence. The program is open to students, researchers, and community members interested in history, data, and visual communication.
