The Smith College Department of Music will present four Sage Chamber Music Society concerts during the spring 2026 season. Performances will take place on Friday, February 6, Friday, February 20, Thursday, March 26, and Friday, April 10, 2026, all starting at 7:30 PM at Sweeney Concert Hall, Sage Hall, 144 Green Street, Northampton, Massachusetts.
All concerts are free and open to the public and the venue is wheelchair accessible. The series features Smith College faculty musicians and guest artists performing chamber music ranging from the Baroque period to contemporary works.
The Friday, February 6, 2026 concert features violinist Fabiola Kim and pianist Jiayan Sun performing duos by Franz Schubert. On Friday, February 20, 2026, mezzo-soprano Katherine Saik DeLugan and pianist Albert Cano Smit will perform Olivier Messiaen’s song cycle Harawi. The Thursday, March 26, 2026 concert will focus on piano duos as part of the Celebrating Pianos! PianoDuo Festival, featuring The Long Duo along with Albert Cano Smit and Yang Liu, with a pre-concert talk at 6:30 PM. The final concert on Friday, April 10, 2026 features violinist Robyn Quinnett, pianist Jiayan Sun, and cellist Marie-Volcy Pelletier performing works by Messiaen, Price, Sarasate, Beethoven, and Smetana.
