Free Concert by Springfield Symphony Orchestra & Fireworks at Riverfront Park
Spirit of Springfield presents “Star Spangled Springfield” on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Riverfront Park, Springfield. Festivities include face painters, balloon artists, food vendors, and a free concert by the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Fireworks will be displayed from the Memorial Bridge with musical simulcast on Mix 93.1 FM. Admission is free. No pets, alcohol, smoking, bicycles, skateboards, drones, sparklers, or personal fireworks permitted. Parking is $10 in designated garages.
Schedule
- 6:00-8:00 PM: Family activities, face painters, balloon artist, hat-making with Springfield Armory
- 7:00 PM: Welcoming remarks
- 7:15 PM: Springfield Symphony Orchestra concert
- 9:30 PM: Fireworks
Plan for traffic closures on Memorial Bridge and I-91 exits starting July 3 and 4. Arrive early.
