The Yiddish Book Center presents a free virtual talk, “Vanished Streets: Unseen Photographs of Jewish London,” on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. London-based Rachel Lichtenstein and Aviva Dautch will share the story behind Shloimy Alman’s photographs of vanishing East London streets, currently on view at the Yiddish Book Center. Alman documented Jewish life in England to show his children. Co-sponsored with Jewish Renaissance Magazine.
