Documentary on Low-Impact Forestry in Leverett
The Leverett Library will screen “Views From A Woodlot,” an 18-minute profile of forester Bruce Spencer and the low-impact forestry he has practiced on his Leverett woodlot for over 40 years. Leverett voted in 2025 to accept this 150-acre woodlot as a future town forest. The screening on May 30, 2026, 1:00 PM, will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Chris Hardee, Bruce Spencer, and Leverett forester Eric Donnelly of Woodsmith Tree Services.
Guided Forestry Walk at 3:00 PM
Following the library program, a guided forestry walk led by Bruce Spencer will take place at 3:00 PM on the woodlot located at 353 North Leverett Road.
