Voices for the Land Online Speaker Series

Voices for the Land Online Talk with Dr. Jocelyn Imani

Kestrel Land Trust will host an online presentation titled “Where We Gather: Parks, Place, and the Power of Community” on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. The event will be held online and is part of Kestrel’s Voices for the Land Online Speaker Series.

The speaker is Dr. Jocelyn Imani, Senior Director of Black History and Culture at Trust for Public Land. She will share examples from projects around the United States that examine the relationship between Black communities and public land, including parks, gardens, schoolyards, and cultural landscapes. The presentation will discuss how public land can support community health, climate resilience, cultural restoration, and local decision-making.

This program is the third session in the series, which highlights different perspectives on land, nature, and community.

Registration is required to receive the link to the online presentation. A sliding-scale donation is optional. Details and registration are available at kestreltrust.org.
