Straw Dog Writers Guild will host a Writers Night Out on Tuesday, April 7, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forbes Library. The event will include an open mic session and a featured reading. For the open mic, ten readers will be selected by random drawing from those who sign up by 5:50 PM; each will have five minutes. The second half of the evening will feature writer James K. Zimmerman. The event is free and requires no registration to attend.

Featured writer James K. Zimmerman is the author of four books of poetry, including “The Further Adventures of Zen Patriarch Dōgen.” His work has appeared in numerous literary journals and on The Poetry Foundation website.
